In this exciting hands-on workshop you will explore ways to use layers of textured glass to purposely trap air bubbles. This innovative approach produces a variety of wonderful organic forms, the likes of which you have never seen before! Janet’s multi-media approach combines bubble powder, non-glass inclusion such as mica and copper along with her “No Fear” airbrush painting technique that incorporates some unique ways to apply Fuse Master transparent and opaque glass paints. Also covered are some simple and creative mold making techniques using a variety of refractory materials. Advanced techniques made easy!

Basic glass cutting and fusing experience required.

Tools to bring: glass cutting tools, safety glasses. Wear an apron or old clothes. Disposable respirators will be provided.

Janet Zambai

Janet has been working with glass for over 20 years, running a full production studio creating original innovative commissioned work in fused, leaded and lamp worked glass. She is a writer for “Glass Craftsman” magazine and had her works featured in the book “Contemporary Glass Enameling” by Kay Weiner. She also teaches at the Glass Craft & Bead Expo in Vegas. Her work is in public and private installations throughout the United States and around the world. Janet’s glass art is represented by “World Art Gallery” in California and “World West Galleries” in Pennsylvania.
